We are excited for our 2026 Ladies Day and Gospel Meeting. We have been anticipating them for a while and are poised to hear what the word of God has to say to us. Our theme is “May The LORD Give Increase” and it will include lessons to remember for months to come. First of all we are grateful to have sisters Julie Orr and Jenifer Sperow to come and help us out with our Ladies Day. Sister Orr will be the main speaker and sister Sperow will help with the “Panel Discussion” session of the event. We are also thankful for great men of God such as Adam Orr, Alex Viquez and Bill Sperow, who will be speaking to us during the Gospel Meeting. These lessons are designed for us to increase our faith in our God and His beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

Both sisters Orr and Sperow are wonderful women of God and their husbands are men of principle and great character. We are excited to know the ladies will be encouraged in the scriptures and not sitting for four hours telling beautiful stories and speaking on buttons and bows. Our Ladies Days have been known to be engaging, encouraging and enlightening. Furthermore, the young ladies are encouraged to take part in the song leading. It should be a great opportunity for God to be glorified and the women of the church to be edified; their faith will be increased and their resolve will be strengthened.

To have the heart of Jesus is key to being faithful to our Father in heaven. Brother Orr will instruct, exhort and reprove us to be more like Christ every day while on this earth. To have the heart of Jesus is simply to have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2.16). To see people as God sees them is vital to our spiritual well being as well as to those around us. Having the mind of Christ or the heart of Jesus is seen in how He talked with people and how He cared for them. Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed…”. Jesus was sent to do the will of His Father and we would do well to take note of it.

Our dear brother Orr will be speaking to us about our homes and how they must be in submission to the LORD and His cause. The Psalmist said these words: “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake but in vain” (Ps. 127.1). Our homes need to be helped and reminded to increase in faith. We are honored to have a few lessons from brother Viquez, who will be reminding us of the beauty of the Christian life, along with the nature of sin and the importance of staying away from it. It is beautiful to be in Christ where all spiritual blessings are located (Eph. 1.3). To hear about the need to be focused on spiritual things and the quality of life God expects from us is amazing and will be worth hearing again from our good brother. Let’s increase our faith together from these lessons as well.

Sin is a spiritual disease and if we are not careful as the people of God, it can take over our lives and lead us to total destruction. Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” (John 10.10). We must believe the destructive path sin leaves in the lives of those engaging in it. Sin is to be put away and if it is not, then it will act as a disease and begin to ruin our lives (2 Tim. 2.17). With these words being said, we need to not allow sin to rule in our hearts and thus cause us as brethren to not get along with one another. Brother Sperow will help us with our relationships in Christ. He will help us to see the need to go to one another if there is a concern (Matt. 18.15-20). This will increase our faith for sure.

Finally brethren, we will end on Wednesday night with a lesson to renew our commitment to God in strength, service and sacrifice for the cause of Christ. Having a renewed mind will only take place when the word of God is read, believed and applied properly (Rom. 12.1-2). We should seek to renew our strength, courage and increase our faith in God every day. May the God of peace and truth encourage us to be faithful.

The disciples asked Jesus on one occasion to increase their faith (Luke 17.5). He did exactly that when instructing them concerning the faith they were to have as it began as a grain of a mustard seed (Luke 17.6). If we come prepared to hear the word of the Lord and ready to apply it, our lives will reflect what the lessons are going to be providing us. It is the prayer of the leadership here for every member to, “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 3.18). The idea of increase has blessed us all this year and we are confident these six lessons will add to our faith. God bless.
